Monster Mash : Glow in The Dark Vinyl Version – Review

I just had to include this one: the Monster Mash vinyl reissue on glow-in-the-dark vinyl! This is the original 1962 recording by Bobby “Boris” Pickett and The Crypt-Kickers, which topped the charts back in the day. It’s the perfect soundtrack for any Halloween event, and the glow-in-the-dark feature adds a fun, spooky touch.

In the video, you can even see the vinyl glowing in the dark—perfect for surprising guests!  It’s a fun piece to pull out once a year, and it’s great for catching people off guard, especially when they notice it glowing!

First released in 1962, Monster Mash became a novelty hit, tapping into the craze for horror movie monsters like Dracula and Frankenstein. The album features fun, spooky tracks like Rabian the Fiendage Idol, Graveyard Shift, and of course, the iconic Monster Mash itself. The glow-in-the-dark vinyl makes it perfect for that late night night listening session when you want to play something…a bit different!

Monster Mash hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 1962, further cementing its place as a Halloween classic.
