Notes From The Underground Radical Music of The Twentieth Century 4CD Box Set Review – Cherry Red Records

Please watch the video above for the full review

Notes From The Underground’ showcases key recordings which helped shape the musical and cultural landscape of the 20th century.

I will admit this features some very challenging music and also some surprises as well. It is great to see Cherry Red Records expanding into other genres of music like this.

The 4CD set includes Stravinsky’s ‘Rite of Spring’, siting next to Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Ravi Shankar, Erik Satie, Stockhausen, Bill Evans Trio, Messiaen and even the soundtrack from The Prisoner.
