Jim Steinman Tribute

The news came through on April 20th that Jim Steinman had sadly passed away. Here is my video tribute to this great composer and artist.

What I loved about Jim Steinman was his over the top, theatrical and larger than life lyrics. Did anyone else get as close to describing the awkwardness and total angst of being a teenager?

Although Meatloaf was a great singer, I much preferred Jim Steinmans’ solo album Bad For Good, hearing him sing his own songs just made them more real to me. Original Sin by Pandora’s Box was also a highlight but the songs I play the most are from the soundtrack to Streets of Fire. Again epic mini-operas in their own right.

Thank you for the music.
