KK’s Priest : The Sinner Rides Again – Album Review

KK’s Priest: “The Sinner Rides Again” – An In-Depth Review

I’ve previously touched upon the new Judas Priest track, “Panic Attack,” and some of you had opinions about my subtle hints regarding the lyrics of the new KK Priest album. Well, I’ve taken a deeper dive, and here’s what I’ve discovered.

KK Downing, the legendary guitarist, has been a significant part of the rock scene for years. I’ve reviewed his book (a must-read, by the way) and have always admired his contribution to the genre. When he left Judas Priest, many wondered about the void he’d leave behind. But with the emergence of KK Priest, it’s evident that Downing’s influence on the Priest sound was monumental.

This album is a testament to Downing’s talent and love of this type of music. It’s heavier than its predecessor, with each track showcasing KK Downing’s signature guitar style. What’s remarkable is that all the songs, both music and lyrics, are penned by him. This gives us a raw, unfiltered view of his musical creativity.

Tracks like “Sons of the Sentinel” and “Striker the Viper” are classic heavy metal, with crunchy riffs and powerful vocals. “Reap the Whirlwind” stands out with its epic solo section, while “Keeper of the Graves” offers a mix of acoustic guitar and choir, adding depth to the album.

The title track, “The Sinner Rides Again,” is where KKs Priest truly shines. It’s a blend of traditional metal with KK’s unique touch. The guitar battle in this song is nothing short of epic, with AJ Mills also showcasing his incredible talent.

While I listen to a wide range of music, from Joni Mitchell to Earth, Wind & Fire, there’s something about heavy metal that demands your full attention. This album is no exception. It’s intense, and it’s best enjoyed when you’re fully immersed in it.

“The Sinner Rides Again” is a true heavy metal album. It’s not just another Judas Priest album; it’s KK’s Priest. The two bands have distinct identities, and this album solidifies KK Priest’s position.

For those who’ve bought the album, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Did you get the CD or the vinyl version? Share your opinions and let’s keep the rock conversation going!

Great review! I love your style of how you describe the music. It really makes it come across. I don’t have either of these albums, yet, but I’m definitely tempted to check them out. Thanks!
